Self Tapping Brass Inserts
Self-Tapping Brass Inserts are designed to create strong, permanent threads in various soft materials, including wood, particle board, and foamed plastics. These metal bushings feature both internal and external threads, allowing them to tap into pre-drilled holes while forming their own threads as they are turned in. The innovative design ensures that the internal threads remain free from debris, ensuring a clean installation. With coarse exterior threads for enhanced resistance to backout and loosening, these inserts offer reliable performance. Their self-tapping and self-locking capabilities make installation easy and efficient, making them ideal for a range of applications.
Self Tapping Brass Inserts are inserted in wood, particle board, ABS, foamed plastics, and other soft materials to provide strong, permanent threads for attachment.
They are internally and externally threaded metal bushings. As they are pushed (turned) into already drilled holes, they create their own threads, and the exterior flutes offer a balanced cutting motion.
The insert’s wall has no slots or holes, keeping the inside threads free of debris. This enables correct installation by allowing the driving stud to span the whole length of the insert.
The exterior, coarse threads are designed with the highest possible backout and loosening resistance.
